Information on Recent Incidents
Overview of August 27 Incident: Earlier today, U.S. Marshals arrested an unaffiliated individual in the I-1 parking garage on Ithan Avenue. The person, a suspect in an off-campus incident in New Jersey, was taken into custody by federal agents without incident. Law enforcement has since left the scene, and an all-clear was issued. There is no threat to the ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ University community. This matter is unrelated to last week’s incidents on campus.

University President Rev. Peter M. Donohue, OSA, PhD, led a powerful Augustinian blessing for new students at a Thursday evening orientation event following the false report of an active shooter on campus: “‘May God bless you and protect you. May your heart and mind be united in faith so that you may be able to love wisely, work creatively, laugh heartily, and live honestly. May you use your education to bring justice and peace to the world, for the benefit of our human family and all of God’s creation. And may you always know that you are loved. Amen.’"
