ASSOCIATION FOR CHANGE AND TRANSFORMATION (ACT)

Email: act@villanova.edu
The Association for Change and Transformation (ACT) educates the ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ community on dynamics surrounding social identity, power, privilege and oppression through interactive workshops and dialogue.
ACT enhances ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ students' lives by bringing awareness to the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion to promote a society of acceptance. Read below to learn about ACT's annual programming:
During Orientation, ACT members participate in an intensive week-long training on identity development and facilitation of performance skills. They then perform a skit for all new incoming students followed by a guided conversation to discuss perceptions of what happens at ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ and provide tools to act as an ally.
During the spring semester, ACT members perform new skits and activities for the campus community to continue conversations regarding the varied experiences of ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ students.
ACT leads facilitated dialogues among students on current topics in society.
ACT hosts annual trainings led by esteemed faculty and staff for students to learn facilitation skills and practice guided conversation among peers.
ACT members are available to lead facilitated dialogue and workshops for the campus community.Ìý
