OFFICE OF THE PROVOST

The Office of the Provost at ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ University promotes and supports academic excellence and the holistic education of its more than 11,000 undergraduate, graduate and professional students. Through its numerous departments, programs and initiatives, the Provost's Office fosters creative and innovative approaches to enhance ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥â€™s educational offerings, research productivity and intellectual climate.

The office facilitates academic planning and programming; oversees faculty recruitment, retention, tenure, promotion and support; and works to enhance graduate programs and the graduate student experience at ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥.

ABOUT THE PROVOST

As Provost, Patrick G. Maggitti, PhD, serves as the second highest-ranking officer of the University and its Chief Academic Officer. He leads ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥'s overall strategic efforts and oversees the University’s academic enterprise—which encompasses the six colleges and all academic areas—as well as Student Life.

A widely recognized scholar in entrepreneurship and strategic management, Dr. Maggitti has authored numerous publications for premier journals such as Research Policy, Journal of Management Studies and the Academy of Management Journal, widely considered the field’s most elite research publication.
