VSB MAJORS AND MINORS

BUSINESS MAJORS, MINORS AND CONCENTRATIONS

To earn a business major, you will take six courses beyond the core business coursework in a specific field of study. If you choose to also earn a minor, you need to complete three or four courses beyond the required coursework.

DECLARING A BUSINESS MAJOR

At VSB, you will select your major during your sophomore year—and you’re far from alone in this process. The Clay Center at VSB ensures that you have the support you need from a team of experts. You will have a professional academic advisor for your entire VSB experience to guide you through every step of academic planning. Faculty mentors are also available to share a wealth of knowledge and expertise about their discipline, and to suggest secondary majors, minors or concentrations that support your interests.

CONCENTRATIONS

A concentration is a curated group of related courses that complement a particular major. They offer students a chance to hone their knowledge in an area that supports their career aspirations. Concentrations are open only to majors in the related field.

VSB FOR NON-BUSINESS STUDENTS

Full-time matriculated ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ students from Engineering, Liberal Arts, Nursing and Science have the option to apply for transfer to VSB, or apply for a business minor. These are all competitive, application-based programs with different timelines and admission decisions. Note that students from other 4 year colleges or universities may apply for VSB’s Summer Business Institute, and earn a Business Certificate.
