From dial tones to Wi-Fi—Bartley Hall’s phone booths are now equipped for the digital age
A classic campus fixture has found new life. The iconic wooden phone booths on the ground floor of Bartley Hall—once a go-to spot for ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ School of Business students entering the job market and connecting with recruiters—have been transformed into modern Zoom booths. This innovative redesign is the brainchild of Kaitlin Grady, associate director of Experiential Education and Employer Outreach in VSB’s O’Donnell Center for Professional Development, with technical expertise from VSB’s IT coordinator, Erik Germanovich. Now equipped for videoconferencing and virtual meetings, these revitalized spaces bridge past and present, ensuring today’s students have a quiet place for important conversations—just as generations before them once had.
