At the end of a heart-pounding sprint down to the finish line, ΈΜιΩΦ±²¥ track athletes claimed the top two slots in the NCAA record books for the 1500 meters. At the Raleigh Relays at North Carolina State in March, graduate student Liam Murphy and junior Marco Langon finished in first and second place, respectively, breaking the NCAA season record for that event. Murphy, one of the top distance runners in the country, now holds seven University records, and he and Langon were both part of ΈΜιΩΦ±²¥β€™s winning 4xMile relay team at the 2024 Penn Relays, which also recorded the second-fastest time in world history for that event.
