  • ΈΜιΩΦ±²₯ University to Present Civitas Dei Medal to Elizabeth A. Johnson, CSJ, PhD, Influential Feminist Theologian and Ecological Ethicist

    ΈΜιΩΦ±²₯ University will award its Civitas Dei Medal to Elizabeth A. Johnson, CSJ, PhD, distinguished professor emerita of Theology at Fordham University and an influential voice in feminist theology and ecological ethics. Johnson will deliver the lecture, “Ask the Beasts, Ask the Galaxies” at the medal presentation on Thursday, February 22, at 4 p.m. With the Civitas Dei Medal, ΈΜιΩΦ±²₯ University honors Catholics who have made exemplary contributions to the Catholic intellectual tradition and the pursuit of truth, beauty and goodness.

  • Charles Widger School of Law Sports Law Negotiation Team Wins International Baseball Arbitration Competition

    Three members of the ΈΜιΩΦ±²₯ University Charles Widger School of Law Sports Law Negotiation Team, were awarded first place at Tulane University’s 17th Annual International Baseball Arbitration Competition, held in January at Tulane’s campus in New Orleans. Third-year Law students Alex Schaff and David Brake and second-year Law student Alyssa Rodarte defeated 40 teams of law students from across the country to win the prestigious contest for the first time. Schaff also earned the competition’s Oral Advocacy Award for her outstanding arguments.

  • ΈΜιΩΦ±²₯ University’s Office for Sustainability to Host Fireside Conversations on Climate Crisis

    ΈΜιΩΦ±²₯ University’s Office for Sustainability in Mission and Ministry will host Fireside Conversations: Exploring Climate Anxiety through the Lens of Laudate Deum, on Wednesday, January 31, at 1 p.m. in the Connelly Center. This gathering marks the first of a two-part series presented by the Office for Sustainability in collaboration with Merrimack College and will discuss Pope Francis’s Laudate Deum, his 2023 message on the climate crisis. This event series brings together ΈΜιΩΦ±²₯ and its Augustinian counterpart, Merrimack College, located in North Andover, Mass.

  • ΈΜιΩΦ±²₯ University Announces the Election of Three New Members to its Board of Trustees

    ΈΜιΩΦ±²₯ University today announced the appointment of three new members to its Board of Trustees. Enrico S. Gaglioti, Co-President of FS Investments; Arthur A. Metzler, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of AMA Group; and Kate K. Waters, Senior Partner, Executive Director and Financial Advisor of The BTW Group within Morgan Stanley’s Private Wealth Management division, joined the 38-member Board effective Jan. 1.
