Peter Ormerod

Biography
Peter Ormerod researches information privacy law and law and technology more broadly. His current projects focus on the regulation of commercial surveillance practices and on the political economy of data-intensive businesses. He has previously published journal articles on the interaction of privacy law and competition law, the duty of data security, technology’s effects on Fourth Amendment doctrine, and privacy law’s enforcement mechanisms.Ìý
Before joining ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥, Ormerod was an assistant professor of law at Northern Illinois University College of Law and an assistant professor of business law at Western Carolina University. Before entering academia, he practiced in the Public Policy & Regulation Group of Holland & Knight’s Washington, DC, office.
