¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥â€™s Master of Laws in Taxation (LLM) is a flexible, interdisciplinary degree for lawyers that will prepare you to become a competent and nimble tax attorney who can successfully advise your clients and organizations all while navigating today’s complex and challenging tax environment.ÌýÌý

FLEXIBLE FORMAT

¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥â€™s LLM in Taxation is a rigorous and immersive 24-credit degree for lawyers that can be completed in less than two years. The part-time LLM degree is a part of our Graduate Tax Program available on-campus, online or in a hybrid format. Both on-campus and online LLM classes are held in the evening, and tax law online courses are synchronous and live each week. All courses are designed for part-time adult learners and follow a unique eight-week format, allowing you to concentrate on one course at a time. With the option of taking an online taxation course, your career progression is unrestricted.

RIGOROUS TAX LAW CURRICULUM

¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ tax law students are required to take six core courses that teach the fundamentals of tax and choose three electives from over 25 comprehensive options spanning many areas of interest in both law and accounting. The core LLM courses introduce topics such as:

The ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ LLM tax program features more than 45 faculty members, including full-time tax scholars and leading practitioners from Big Four accounting firms, law firms, the IRS and other tax companies and organizations. At ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥, you will examine taxation from multiple perspectives, allowing exploration of how both legal and accounting principles affect the field’s ever-changing landscape.

Students may also pursueÌýspecialty law certificatesÌýin Estate Planning, Employee Benefits, State and Local Taxation, and International Taxation, either together with the LLM degree or on a stand-alone basis.
